Frequently Asked Questions

Are our assessments recognised by the NHS and other organisations?

Our assessments adhere to the national guidelines set by NICE for ADHD evaluations, ensuring that our reports meet the necessary standards. While there should be no issues with report acceptance, we advise discussing your assessment with your GP or support service beforehand to confirm that they will accept a private diagnostic report.

Can you prescribe medication for ADHD?

As Clinical Psychologists, no we cannot prescribe medication, however we are happy to provide copies of our assessment to your GP or private prescriber to support those conversations.

If you plan to consider a private route for medication, we recommend that before booking an assessment, you confirm with your GP whether they are willing to engage in 'shared care' for ADHD medication. Some GPs may decline this. Alternatively, you can check with your local ADHD NHS team to see if they will prescribe following a private assessment.
